Warriors tries Vs Cronulla : Round 23
Jerome Ropati scores the first try for the Warriors at the weekend as Cronulla become the third top five team to lose to the Warriors in four weeks going down 18-4. The Warriors form is certainly looking good, at least at Mt Smart, as they push on towards the play-offs. Tries from Lance Hohaia and Manu Vatuvei after the click.
Wade McKinnon returns for the Warriors
Last weekend saw the much anticipated return of Wade McKinnon for the New Zealand Warriors. He certainly made his presence felt, scoring in the Warriors victory over the Brisbane Broncos at Mount Smart. A close 16 -12 halftime game lead for the Rhinos set up a close second half with 20 minutes left Leeds had a 20 – 18 advantage which Leeds sealed in the final minute with a try from McGuire to which Kevin Sinfield added the extras. Sonny Bill plays for Toulon
Sonny Bill Williams made his debut for French side Toulon in the face of an Australian court order from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs. Despite the conseqeunces to be faced for his actions Williams is willing to play and willing to go to jail for his actions. Making his sentiments clear Williams has also voiced his hope to force his way into the All Blacks team for the 2011 World Cup.
A news article below covers Williams debut in a friendly with Carque-Hyeres in which he recieved a yellow card after 10 mintues for a shoulder barge. A good young player I’m sure Williams will do well in rugby union and no doubt adapt well to the game.
Paleaaesina – Guisset
